Joseph Street, Oldbury FAQs
Customers can utilise our Pay as You Go (PAYG) payment option via the contactless card readers standard on every Rapid EV charger.
evyve operates a flat rate of £0.75/kWh across all rapid charge points in our network.
Tariffs for 7-22kW chargers may vary, so please check the evyve app for up to date pricing before you charge.
At the start of every charge session, our payment provider will reserve a pre-authorisation amount of £55 through your selected payment method, to make sure sufficient funds are available in your bank account. Once the session has ended, the final cost for the charge session will be deducted and the remaining funds from the reservation, if any, will be refunded.
For customer convinience and ease of accessibility, both PAYG via contactless card reader and app based payment are available for customers at our rapid sites.
Our 7-22kW chargers can only be operated via the evyve app.
If you charged your vehicle via the App, you can quickly access your VAT invoices in the profile section of the App. Alternatively, fill in the form here and we'll get back to you shortly. Please submit your name, email address, location, date and value of your charge session.
Use our location finder tool here to view your nearest evyve charge point. Alternatively, download the evyve app and use our map view to locate your nearest charge point location.
Call our free 24-hour customer support team for assistance, which is available on 03300 531 802.
Some of our busier charge locations will have overstay charges. You can access this information by clicking on the relevant charge station in the evyve app.
The fuller your car battery is, the slower it charges. We advise to only charge your vehicle to 80% because after this your car charges significantly slower. Charging only to 80% also helps to preserve your batteries lifespan.
Hot or cold weather can also impact the charge speed. If it is cold, the car will charge slower to protect the battery. Some cars are able to ‘pre-condition’ their battery prior to arriving at the charge point to attain optimal charging speeds. Check your cars manual to see if you can do this.
