Trafford Palazzo, formerly Barton Square, underwent an extensive £90 million refurbishment as part of its acquisition by Peel L&P. As part of our long-term ongoing partnership with Peel L&P, we installed EV charging infrastructure at the Trafford Palazzo site, which we continue to maintain and operate for them today.

Peel L&P is a British infrastructure and property investment business based in Manchester. We are pleased to have them support evyve initiatives as a long-term partner and investor.

How it started

Attracting over five million visitors a year, installing EV charging infrastructure at Trafford Palazzo seemed like a logical next step for Peel L&P. Adding EV charging points would allow Peel to cater to the needs of their EV drivers as they shop, dine, and enjoy the Trafford Palazzo leisure and retail facilities.

What we did

We worked closely with Peel L&P to understand the needs of their Trafford Palazzo site. Based on our initial site evaluation, we installed two high-powered rapid DC charge points and four slower AC charge points to cater to both long and short-stay customers.

These charging points perfectly meet the needs of long-time dwellers who want to charge their vehicles while enjoying the amenities on offer at Trafford Palazzo. We also took into account the convenient location of Trafford Palazzo, ensuring these charge points would also be suitable for thru-traffic wanting to pop into the Palazzo for a short visit.
